Iran Escalates Conflict: Missile Strike Hits Israeli Hospital, Injures Hundreds of Civilians.

On June 19, 2025, Iran fired a deadly attack with around 20 ballistic missiles on Israel that devastated the civilians of Israel, targeting multiple sites. Among the targeted sites was Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba; the hospital suffered a direct hit by at least one missile, which resulted in 65 injuries and immense structural damage. Israel’s deputy foreign minister Sharren Haskel emphasized that it is the main medical center for Israel’s entire Negev region. Among the hospital, Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Holon were targeted, and several missiles landed in these urban residential areas, causing severe civilian injuries and public damage. Azor, which is near central Israel, a private home was struck by a missile leaving damage across an 8 km radius. Iranian officials stated their missiles were aimed at military and intelligence installations, but most of the confirmed strikes affected civilians and public infrastructures, which included hospitals, buildings, and residential neighborhoods; the missiles struck densely populated areas. Israeli officials confirm that more than 278 citizens were admitted to the hospital on Thursday alone and some say that this was a miracle due to the nature of the strike. This marks a significant escalation in Iran’s military campaign, with signs of deliberate targeting of civilian areas further intensifying an already volatile conflict.
