On July 21, 2025, a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training jet crashed into the Milestone School and College in Dhaka shortly after takeoff, killing at least 31 people (including children and the pilot) and injuring more than 170. Witnesses described scenes of chaos as flames engulfed the school building and rescue workers battled to save the injured. National authorities have declared a day of mourning, and investigations into the cause continue. Many of the hospitalized victims are children in critical condition.
