According to the city’s fire department, the bus veered off a highway bridge and fell approximately 20 meters into a ravine. The vehicle was traveling from the town of San Agustin Acasaguastlan into the capital on a busy route when the accident occurred at Puente Belice, a bridge that crosses over a road and creek. Authorities are conducting rescue operations and investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
